Maydos Olive-oil

"Maydos Olive-oil" is especially produced from the olives of the villages from Şarköy at the Trace coast of the Marmara Sea and of Gallipoli and Eceabat. In one of the numerous adventures in mythology, Herakles (Hercules) stopped for a rest near to Şarköy. After Herakles, the dearest son of Zeus the Lord of Gods, Macedonian Alexander the Great, who is one of the legendary commanders in history visited the area during the 4th century B.C. and he went to Asia from Eceabat (Maydos) region. A new legend arose during the 21st century A.D. and "Maydos Olive-oil" production started from the olives of the same region. "Maydos Olive-oil" gives you a unique antique taste from Herakles to Alexander the Great and from fables to reality.

In the production of Maydos first quality olives especially for olive-oil production from Şarköy, Gallipoli, Eceabat regions are used.
