"Troia Olive-oil" is produced from the olives
of the olive trees being waved with the winds of two seas
Aegean and Marmara from one side to another for thousands
of years in the villages at the Asian cost of Dardanelles
and in the vicinity of Troia. As written by Homeros in Ilyada,
the olive trees in this area, where one of the greatest
epics of the world took place, are descendant from the olive
trees under the shadow of which Hector had a rest. If you
think whether any olive trees still exist since that date;
Homeros is witness to this heritage from 7th century B.C.
The great poet tells in Ilyada: a man plants a young olive
tree; gives lots of water to the young tree, grows up the
nice young tree, blooms snow-white flowers. A great whirlwind
uproots the young tree and throws it on to the ground… But
another man comes and plants another young olive tree on
the same soil. It is this soil, which created "Troia
Olive-oil".
In the production of Troia first quality olives especially
for olive-oil production from İntepe, Dardanel, Bayramiç,
Geyikli, Ezine, Dalyan regions are used.
